The futon mattress was very hard to find and is not sold with the unit. THe bottom futon is not for everyday use. The futon is thin and difficult to find a cover for. The futon size was hard to match, we got one too wide and thick, but it is working out as a lounge, not chair. It took a while to assemble, but was not hard, we all helped and it was done in a couple of hours. Our son was very happy with it, it suits his purpose and age, and will take him through his teen years. We would recommend it to anyone.
